We manage a large number and variety of funding types which can provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable experience, expand your knowledge and grow in your state accounting career.

This position serves as a lead over the Cashier and Time Accounting units.

Assists Time Accounting in working with program to ensure all timesheets are recorded timely; Reconciliation of Retirement Buyout and Salary Advances; Reclass GL108 transactions to ensure all entries are zeroed out from the holding account.

Assist the Cashiers Office serving as a backup Cashier. This includes processing deposits, operating the cash register to record sales of Travel Advances, Salary Advances, and Accounts Receivable Payments; Distributing Office Revolving Fund (ORF) and General cash checks to vendors and Employees.

Ensure all deposits are made timely in accordance with state rules and regulations. This assignment requires knowledge of the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal), State Administrative Manual, and state cash control rules, and departmental procedures and requires initiative and judgment in handling customer service issues, accurate handling of cash, and a large volume of checks.

CDE is located at 15th and N Street in downtown Sacramento. We are conveniently located near the State Capitol and Capitol park, as well as to many restaurants and Light Rail.

This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for eligible applicants residing in California. A hybrid telework schedule includes working remotely and physically reporting to the office
