Job Description The Director of Print Production primary responsibility is to oversee all aspects of Production. This includes managing the Production staff and ensuring that the highest quality and standards are achieved in all work that comes through the department. The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in entertainment marketing and reports directly to the Head of Print. The production dept. produces and coordinates all presentations to clients, both digital & printed, creates templates for the art directors, prepares final, print ready artwork (mechanicals), and maintains records of all work produced by the print department.
Responsibilities & Duties - Supervision, hiring and training of all production staff
- Quality control of all production work including presentations, mechanicals and final artwork.
- Facilitate and supervise finishing of approved artwork, working closely with Finishers, Creative Directors, Art Directors and Account Executives to ensure that final art is of the highest quality possible and meets the required technical specifications
- Maintain color management for the department
- Communicate with printers and other 3rd party vendors, including delivery of final files and obtaining estimates for print jobs when required.
- This is a “hands on” position and you must be able to build mechanicals, edit files etc.
Qualifications & Skills - Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and current printing technology is essential
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required
- Ability to multi-task and successfully manage a team.
Additional Information: - This position reports to the Head of Print
- You must be able to make a daily commute 3 x per week to the office.
- Regular business hours are Mon-Fri 10am to 7pm.
- The position is Exempt (salary) and annualized pay range is $110k -$130k. This is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Actual offers may vary based on work experience.
