This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center three times per week, at minimum.
Overview
The Business Performance Analyst will play a critical role in driving the performance and growth of our GM Envolve OnStar subscription business by providing data, insights, and tools that informs strategic business decision-making. Reporting to the Revenue Growth Manager, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across Revenue Operations, EDAI, and other teams to ensure the highest levels of accuracy, quality, and actionable insights in our business performance data and reporting.
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), uncovering insights, and identifying opportunities for growth and performance optimization, particularly within the commercial channel. Using a blend of strategic thinking, data analytics, and a focus on KPIs such as revenue, subscription volume, attach rate, churn, and average subscription revenue, you will help lead the strategy, execution, and monitoring of business growth initiatives. You will also help develop, implement, and continuously refine our approach to performance measurement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the OnStar digital subscription business KPIs, customer behaviors, products, and sales channels.
Act as the bridge between Revenue Operations and EDAI, ensuring that reporting, data visualizations, and insights are accurate and of the highest quality.
Write queries and analyze data to identify growth opportunities, focusing on acquisition, retention, and churn mitigation strategies to drive improved subscription performance.
Support the continuous evolution of our performance measurement framework using a process of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with EDAI to develop predictive analytics that will guide new growth strategies and drive subscription performance.
Proactively provide actionable recommendations through data-driven analysis to optimize revenue and profitability.
Deliver clear, impactful presentations to communicate business performance insights, key initiatives, and recommendations for action.
Build strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders across various teams and organizational levels.
Communicate complex business insights effectively, making them understandable and actionable for all relevant parties.
Monitor and track the progress of key business initiatives and provide recommendations to improve execution and outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in business performance measurement, analysis, sales, or a related field.
Proven track record of translating business needs into performance-driven solutions, influencing decision-making with data-driven storytelling.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other programming languages, as well as BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Data Bricks.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and deliver creative, actionable solutions.
Self-starter with a proactive attitude and a keen ability to problem-solve in complex, ambiguous environments.
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with experience presenting to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (for data analysis) and PowerPoint (for impactful presentations).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, ever-changing business landscape.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s or MBA preferred.
Experience working in the digital and/or technology space strongly desired, including the understanding of subscription business models.
