Sales Account Manager—United States 

To succeed in this role, you will need to execute both remote and in-person sales of SmartFlower solutions. You must demonstrate expertise in selling strategically within a 6–18-month sales cycle, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will employ a combination of strategic sales planning, creative approaches, and proactive engagement with key decision-makers across targeted accounts. 

A strong drive, combined with the ability to stay focused, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, is essential. This role will require high-level C-Suite interaction within management, marketing, and sustainability departments. You will interface primarily with commercial, institutional and industrial facilities in the assigned region, building a high-value pipeline of sales opportunities. This position has unlimited growth potential and will report directly to the President of the Company.

Responsibilities

  •  Develop new orders and manage client relationships by understanding the client’s business goals, issues, and needs, to ensure they have an exceptional product life cycle experience.. 
  •  Proactively manage the overall sales process from a lead to sales fulfillment Document all sales activities and leverage selling tools within SmartFlower’s CRM. 
  •  Identify and qualify innovative, high-impact opportunities to align SmartFlower Solar solutions with customer needs, emphasizing their potential to enhance sustainability efforts and strengthen marketing or branding initiatives.
  • Respond promptly to inbound leads and proactively target new in-territory customers and opportunities, maintaining active follow-up throughout the lead qualification and sales process to build a robust and sustainable opportunity pipeline. 
  • Research and understand incentive programs within assigned territory to identify opportunities, and use these insights to target high-potential customers
  • Timely follow up on SmartFlower Solar marketing campaigns. 

This full- time position will be based in our Boston, MA office. Typical work hours are 8:00AM -5:00PM. Compensation Package

  • Base Salary along with Commission ($65,000 - $120,000)

Requirements

  • Experience in sales within advertising/branding, distributed generation, government/municipal sectors, energy services, or utility equipment capital markets
  • Previous account development and successful orders closing experience, preferably 3+years 
  • Diverse work experience including startups, small companies, large companies and market segments. 
  • Excellent business, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail and follow-through. 
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and driven; independent yet highly collaborative. 
  • Strategic, thoughtful, and curious. 
  • Empathetic and persuasive, with exceptional interpersonal skills. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities. 
  • Dedicated, ethical, and reliable. 
  • MS Office and Salesforce (or similar CRM) experience. 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred. 
  • Willingness to travel within sales territory
