Job Description

America's Test Kitchen is looking for a talented Video Producer to help shoot and edit a slate of original video programming for our website and other initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience shooting and editing short- and medium-form videos, a passion for food, proficiency with cameras and NLE systems including Premiere, experience with basic color correction and graphics, keen organizational and project management skills, a knack for creative problem solving, and the ability to adapt and collaborate in a fast-paced creative team environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Produce, shoot, and edit short- and medium-form video content for ATK’s website and other video initiatives
  • Lead planning, scripting, shooting, and other pre-production tasks for video assignments
  • Experience with cameras (Sony camera experience a plus), lenses, grip gear, lighting, and standard set protocols
  • Maintain expert knowledge of video content production and best practices
  • Ability to edit a high volume of content, as well as basic color correction and basic motion graphics
  • Collaborate with both senior team members and work independently
  • Manage tight deadlines and multi-task to complete competing priorities efficiently
  • Assist with additional video production as needed

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience shooting, producing and editing video content
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
  • Must have a collaborative team-oriented mentality along with the ability to work independently and under close direction
  • Must have great communication skills and be able to give and receive critical feedback in a team environment
  • Culinary video experience and a passion for cooking are a plus.

This position is located in our Boston, MA office in the Seaport district. It is the expectation that the person in this role will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) in the office and 2 days per week remotely.
