Mylan Park is seeking a dynamic and experienced Aquatics Manager. The Aquatics Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Aquatics Department under the direction of the General Manager and/or Aquatics Director. The Aquatics Manager is a vital part of the Mylan Park Aquatics team to provide exemplary services to the community. This includes sharing responsibility as the building Manager-on-Duty (MOD), participation in special events, fundraising campaigns, and shared leadership duties as assigned periodically. Also, the Aquatics Manager is expected to participate in both staff and event planning meetings and collaborate with other team members to develop aquatic programs with the goal of better usage of the pool and continually serving the needs of the community. The Aquatics Manager will have the ability to teach or substitute coach swim teams, youth swim lessons, lifeguarding, or other program involvement as needed. The Aquatics Manager will also maintain or assist in maintenance of pool and facility operations and oversee or support equipment maintenance to ensure proper facility functioning. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of aquatics operations, including recreational swim, lap swim, swim lessons, water fitness classes, and swim meets. Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate aquatic staff, including lifeguards, swim instructors, and support personnel. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety and health regulations, including Red Cross and American Lifeguard Association standards. Maintain pool water quality and chemical levels, coordinating with maintenance staff to ensure optimal facility operations. Develop, promote, and manage aquatic programs and events to serve a wide range of community members. Manage the departments budget, purchasing, and inventory, including swim supplies, safety equipment, and chemicals. Respond to emergencies, incidents, and patron concerns in a professional and timely manner. Coordinate with schools, swim teams, and external groups for facility rentals and swim meets. Maintain detailed records including certifications, inspections, incident reports, and operational logs. Work collaboratively with other facility managers and departments across Mylan Park.
