Architectural Designer (3-5 Years Experience)
Location: San Francisco Bay Area (Local Candidates Only – Fully Remote or Hybrid)

Studio BANAA is seeking a creative and technically capable Architectural Designer with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience—ideally in commercial interiors or hospitality-focused work. This is a full-time position for someone who enjoys working across all project phases, values collaboration, and is excited about thoughtful, concept-driven design.

We are a hybrid architecture and interior design studio based in San Francisco, working primarily on café, restaurant, retail, and community-centered projects. Our operations are hybrid, we have the option to work in the office two times a week but are primarily hybrid. We do require all team members to be based in the Bay Area due to local project needs, site visits, and consultant coordination.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in an architecture firm, preferably with a focus on hospitality or commercial interiors
• Masters Degree from an accredited university is required
• Proficiency in Revit and SketchUp is required
• Ability to produce drawing sets independently and collaborate with a small team
• Strong hand sketching ability; experience with digital sketching (e.g., on iPad) is a plus
• Comfortable working independently and communicating effectively in a remote setting
• Must be currently located in the San Francisco Bay Area

What You’ll Be Doing

• Contribute to all phases of project development, from conceptual design and space planning through construction documentation and permitting
• Work directly with clients, consultants, and contractors
• Participate in internal design reviews and brainstorming sessions
• Help develop thoughtful, well-detailed designs for spaces that are both beautiful and functional
