ROLE SUMMARY

Our company is looking for a talented, experienced, strong business coach to add to our team.

ABOUT US

For over a decade, our company has been working with business owners, coaching them to build a business for themselves, not just a job. As the nation’s premier business coaching company, we primarily work with businesses initially in the $1-25 million per year revenue range grow their companies by focusing on the best growth leverage points, implementing sound systems and internal controls, and developing their team and culture. In essence, what we do is help business owners fall in love with their companies again—for the lives it touches, the profits it earns, the team it employs, the value it creates, and the freedom they enjoy.

Who We’re Really Looking For

A strong, experienced, and talented business coach . In order to be an effective coach within our Client community, you must have real hands-on business coaching experience working with another large US based Coaching Company like eMyth or EOS, or as an independent business coach working for your own company.

We are not looking for someone who simply loves to “mentor” (i.e. hear themselves talk and gratify their ego), nor are we looking for “consultants” (who only work with a few clients at a time and do the specific project for the company), but rather we need a focused coach who can help our clients create their clear growth plan; hold them accountable; give specific, concrete, well-timed coaching input; and coach them on the framework to reach their business goals.

We are not looking for a life coach. We coach our clients to get concrete results – increase their sales, improve their margins, and grow their profitability.

We’ve got a great coaching process and you need to be someone who is capable and hungry to absorb and master that process so that when combined with your business experiences, you can powerfully coach our clients to reach their business goals.

A coach with a real and proven business track record as a business owner yourself . You must be credible to work with our clients. You must have real experience as a business leader, either as a previous owner/operator or as a key leader with P&L responsibilities.

You must be able to relate to their experiences of staffing challenges, sales hurdles, operational fires, and all the other myriad of pieces that together make up what our clients deal with every month in their companies.

You must be able to connect with clients and confidently help them step back from their challenges to gain perspective, and then find the right path forward.

You must be articulate and able to effectively ask piercing questions and communicate concrete, specific suggestions.

You must be meticulous in your follow up with them. When you say you’ll bring up a subject or check in with them about an action step in four weeks, you must do exactly that. You are a role model for our clients on how they can more effectively lead and coach their own team members.

A team member who fully buys in to what we do . We are a mission driven company. Our mission is clear: We help business owners fall in love with their companies again. We help them build a business, not a job. You must believe in the life-changing value of coaching. In your bones you know that the nominal investment in coaching (typically 2-3k a month) yields a huge return. You know that when a business owner goes through a rough patch, as most companies at one point or another do, this is precisely the time he or she most needs the outside perspective, support, and accountability of an experienced coach.

You must fully buy into our way of coaching. Our methodology works. We’ve got the data to back that up. You must be excited to learn how to take your coaching and business experiences and integrate them with our coaching process, so that together we can best serve our clients.

A coach who is coachable yourself. You must be hungry and capable of learning our coaching process and business building approach. No ego, just a humble hunger to learn and grow yourself.

WHAT WE OFFER
  • The position is 1099, and you will earn in three ways.

  • Warm culture and great clients

  • Starting Base Compensation: The core of your earnings is the base comp. While our coaching team generally reach equilibrium at between half-time & 3/4-time equivalency (20-30 hours a week), the rate of base compensation is for “full time equivalency” (i.e. 40-45 hours/month) range approximately $120,000 to $180,000 per year depending on your business and coaching experience and performance as you ramp up.

  • Upgrade Bonuses: Working with your account manager teammate, you’ll work where it is appropriate to encourage clients to upgrade or join additional programs we offer. This could be an upgrade to their own coaching contract, an extension to a longer-term contract, or even joining us at one of our elite business owner mastermind events. We’d expect that a strong performer would generate roughly $7,000-15,000 of Upgrade Bonuses per year. This is uncapped and could be more.

  • Referral Bonuses: When you generate a referral for our sales team, either from the clients you coach or from your own personal networking, when then joins the program, you’ll earn a referral bonus. If the referral came from someone outside of the community (i.e. from a contact you’ve developed) you’ll earn a bigger referral bonus. A solid performer should expect to earn an extra $3,000-7,500 per year from Referral Bonuses. Again, this is uncapped and could be more depending on you.

  • Role Type: Half or ¾ time equivalency

  • Compensation: $XXX per year based on Full Time Equivalent monthly hours plus lucrative bonus structure and extra earning opportunities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • You would be a key addition to our current coaching staff. We’d ramp you up with clients for the first 6 months to get you to a roughly half-time to 3/4th-time equivalency.

  • Initially, we’d assign roughly 7-12 clients to you to give you the opportunity to show us how you do. Assuming you prove yourself, we’ll start to grow your coaching portfolio of clients so that within 6-9 months you’d be half-time to 3/4th-time equivalency. (NOTE: We have found that it’s best for the coach and for you the coach to be at least half-time equivalency coaching 20-25 clients.)

  • You’ll be working with each client one-to-one via phone or web-meeting twice a month for 45 minutes. In addition, you’d be leading some of the monthly small group web-based coaching sessions.

  • Over time, if you have the skillset and desire to do it, you’d help teach at our live quarterly client workshops. We hold these two and three-day events each quarter at various locations around the country. Even if you don’t teach from stage, part of your role will be to participate in the room – coaching clients, connecting with prospective clients, and making sure that participants have a great experience at the events.

  • The core of the role is for you to work directly with your assigned clients to help them enjoy extraordinary business results. RETENTION is your number one responsibility. While you’ll have the full support of our client support team, you will become the face of the company to your clients. Your work helping them progress their companies, enjoying a string of base hits and the occasional business home run here and there, is the core of your role.

  • The coaching methodology we use will give you the structure you need to make this happen with a client, and what’s more, for you to help you client feel the success and progress they are making. This is why our clients stay clients for so long.

In addition, you’ll be responsible to do things like:
  • Conduct your one-to-one coaching sessions (done via phone or web meeting).

  • Document your coaching sessions and client work in our cloud based system.

  • Learn and master the our way of coaching (we’ve got this well systematized.)

  • Be meticulous in your scheduling and on-time attendance with clients. They have to be able to count on you to keep your work and be on time.

  • When appropriate, encouraging clients to upgrade or take advantage of other value-producing programs we offer. You will “team up” with each client’s account manager who is responsible to manage the business relationship, and together the two of you will help clients step up and into the right service offerings we provide.

  • Give feedback to the company about ways we can learn, grow, and improve. One of our core company values is “We eat our own cooking.” We expect and welcome your keen insights to help us get better and better.
