This Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position involves providing direct patient care in a long-term care (LTC) facility under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role includes assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), collecting patient data, and performing basic medical procedures. The CNA will also contribute to maintaining a clean and organized environment, and will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care. This travel assignment includes provided housing and transportation.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting patients with ADLs, including ambulation, hygiene, toileting, feeding, and positioning.
- Collecting patient data, such as vital signs, weights, and specimens.
- Performing basic medical procedures, like incentive spirometry, pulse oximetry, and blood sugar checks (as directed).
- Maintaining a clean and organized patient environment.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
- Performing clerical tasks, such as answering phones and documenting patient information.
- Assisting with patient transport and preparation for diagnostic tests.
- Providing post-mortem care (as needed).
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Alaska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- One year of LTC experience (preferred, but first-timers accepted).

Special Considerations:
- This is a travel assignment with a guaranteed 60 hours per two weeks. The facility provides housing (one-bedroom apartment, no pets allowed) and a shared company vehicle. Housing and vehicle availability is 72 hours before contract start and must be vacated within 24 hours after contract end. The clinician will float within the facility scope. Time off is approved on an individual basis. Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility and must not have worked at any Providence facility within the last three months. The traveler may be called off for one 12-hour shift per two-week period.

- 4x12-hour shifts or 3x12-hour shifts. Shift schedules are variable. A block schedule is not available.
