Summary/objective 

The primary functions of the Clinical Health Screener are to conduct telephone screening interviews and may schedule patients for office visits and colonoscopy appointments. 

Essential functions - Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. 

  • Conduct telephone screening interviews with patients prior to colonoscopy 

  • Provide written and verbal dietary and procedure prep instructions 

  • Scheduling 

  • Cross trained to assist in other positions as needed

Work environment and schedule 

This position is full time, Monday through Friday.  

 Physical demands 

 Sitting up to 8 hours per day  

Travel required 

Minimal   

 

Required education and experience 

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish required 

  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally verbally and in writing 

  • Must have excellent penmanship 

  • Minimum of one year experience in medical scheduling 

  • Recent knowledge of medical terminology  

  • Work well with patients, physicians, management, and staff 

  • Must have strong attention to detail 

  • Strong data entry skills required  

Preferred education and experience 

  • Certified Medical Assisting
