Job Description : We are seeking a skilled Data Center Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Data Center Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and support of our data center infrastructure, ensuring the availability, performance, and scalability of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Data Center Operations : Oversee and manage the physical and virtual infrastructure within the data center, including servers, storage systems, networking, and power distribution.
• Hardware Installation and Configuration : Install, configure, and troubleshoot server hardware, storage devices, and network equipment.
• Monitoring and Maintenance : Implement monitoring tools to track system performance, uptime, and temperature, ensuring the data center operates efficiently.
• Troubleshooting and Support : Provide technical support and incident management, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and network issues.
• Capacity Planning and Upgrades : Plan for capacity requirements, system expansions, and perform hardware upgrades when necessary.
• Disaster Recovery : Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and minimal downtime.
• Security : Assist in implementing physical security measures within the data center, including access controls and surveillance systems.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaboration : Work closely with the IT team and other departments to support system integration and upgrades, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Compliance : Ensure the data center operates in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in data center management and infrastructure support.
• In-depth knowledge of data center technologies, including servers, storage, network, and virtualization.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with data center management software and monitoring tools.
• Hands-on experience with rack, stack, and cabling practices.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup solutions.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP.
• Experience with cloud technologies and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet.

Working Conditions :

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work on-call or outside of regular working hours as needed.
