Purpose of Role

As the Director, Global Benefits & Wellness , you'll be a key leader on Under Armour’s Total Rewards team, shaping the future of our global benefits and wellness programs. You'll architect our strategy, drive innovation, and evolve our offerings to ensure our programs, policies and processes attract and retain world-class talent. Reporting to the VP, Rewards and Operations, you'll play a vital role in enhancing our teammates' wellbeing by delivering a compelling, impactful, and competitive benefits experience.

Your Impact

  • Architect the design and development of our next-generation health, wellness, retirement, and leave programs in 30+ countries across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC
  • Leverage data, technology, and analytics to optimize program effectiveness, balance costs, and personalize the teammate experience
  • Develop and manage vendor partnerships to ensure best-in-class service and value, including negotiations and platform integration
  • Champion the teammate experience by ensuring benefits are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with life-stage needs and diverse populations
  • Innovate by evaluating emerging technologies and point-solutions and integrating them into benefit roadmap, delivery and communications
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Legal, Procurement) to ensure compliance, fiscal stewardship, and alignment with business objectives
  • Measure impact through KPIs, teammate feedback, financial analysis, and benchmarking to continuously improve program effectiveness and ROI
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of direct and indirect reports, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in benefits management, preferably in a global, matrixed organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
  • Deep expertise in the U.S. healthcare system, retirement industry, wellness sector, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ACA, ERISA, HIPAA)
  • Proven success leading, scaling, and evolving complex global benefits programs
  • Experience managing large healthcare budgets and demonstrating strong financial stewardship
  • Ability to be a strategic, hands-on leader who can effectively manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong command of vendor management and contract negotiation
  • Track record of leading, coaching, and developing team members
  • Experience implementing innovative solutions, including tech-enabled wellness platforms, and familiarity with AI, automation, and digital health tools
  • Commitment to equity, teammate-centric design, and evidence-based decision-making

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our global headquarters in Baltimore, MD
  • Work Schedule:  x4 days in office, Monday through Thursday

Base Compensation

  • $158,108.24 - $217,398.83 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
