Job Description

Responsible for the oversight of all children’s ministries including Sunday worship and other special events.

Works with the lead pastor and leadership (core team, advisory team) to clarify and advance the vision, mission, goals and strategies of the children ministry.

Oversees all Children’s Ministries including Nursery, Sunday School during the worship service, Vacation Bible School and special children’s ministry performances.

• Recruit, train and supervise volunteer leaders and teachers in their roles.
• Implement biblical, gospel-centered curriculum.
• Adopt and implement safety, child-protection and health protocols.
• Plan and schedule special events and activities for outreach and the spiritual growth of the children and their parents in conjunction with the broader church’s calendar.
• Provide relevant and timely communication with the parents and congregation with regard to ministry events, expectations, opportunities and/or reports.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with parents to support them as the primary disciplers of their children.
• Develops and oversee the annual budget of the ministry thoughtfully, responsibly and sustainably.
• From time to time, work on special projects at the discretion of the lead pastor (as time permits and as may be necessary).
