Evolution Safety Resources (ESR) is a Safety Consulting Firm based out of North Carolina. 

Our team is seeking a full-time field safety manager in the Wilmington, NC market to inspect client's sites and ensure compliance with federal, state, and best practice safety guidelines. You will provide advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations. You will also be on a constant lookout for non-compliances and implementing the corrective actions. Your work will be largely focused on prevention, so you need to be conscientious and farsighted.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and ready to act in emergencies. The goal is to establish a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety. We are seeking someone who is based out of Wilmington or the surrounding area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure compliance with all OSHA, NRC, DOT, and NFPA regulations
• Follow all safety rules and report any unsafe conditions
• Properly use all required personal protection equipment
• Familiar with atmospheric and radiation testing devices
• Comply with facility guidelines to ensure a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment
• Develop and maintain safety documentation and control measures in accordance with governing regulation, as required.
• Maintain daily reports required by the customer, including Pre-Task Analysis, Permits, Inspections, and Incident Reports
• Generate reports with detailed documentation of onsite findings (including: Notes, Clear Narratives, and Corrective Actions taken)
• Inspect sites daily for existing and/or potential incident and health hazards
• Determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented
• Investigate all reported injuries and illnesses
• Maintain a healthy client relationship and proper communication methods

QUALIFICATIONS

• OSHA 30 Construction (required)
• OSHA 510 credentials (preferred)
• Construction Field Safety Experience - 5 yrs (preferred)
• Occupied Renovation Experience (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The employee is frequently assigned to outdoor jobs, requires long periods of standing and lifting and carrying of supplies.
• Employee will be expected to have a clean driving history, a valid driver’s license and pass a background and substance screening.
