We currently have a role available for an Experienced NMR Chemist.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Operating, troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance on high-resolution NMR spectrometers to ensure continuous uptime.
  • Processing and interpreting 1D, 2D, and multinuclear (¹H, ¹³C, 19F, etc.) NMR spectra as well as using advanced techniques (HSQC, HMBC, NOESY, DOSY, EXSY) for characterization and structure elucidation of pharmaceutical intermediates and APIs.
  • Conducting quantitative NMR (qNMR) against calibrated internal/external standards to deliver precise potency values.
  • Preparing buffers, solvents, and samples with rigorous attention to purity, pH, and concentration specifications.
  • Insuring quality and optimization of samples/libraries for protein-ligand interactions.
  • Monitoring chemical reactions in real time as well as identifying intermediates/byproducts and reporting on conversion, yield, and selectivity trends.
  • Calibrating instrument parameters (pulse widths, receiver gains, temperature) and maintaining logs of performance checks.
    • Troubleshooting hardware/software issues as needed.
  • Overseeing laboratory housekeeping: inventory control of consumables and ordering supplies; ensuring chemical hygiene compliance; performing regular safety audits to maintain a productive, organized lab environment.

Job Requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • Ph.D.-Chemistry or related field with 2+ years of post-academic industry/government experience (pharma related preferred) in analytical, bioanalytical or biological laboratories. BS - Chemistry or related field with 10+ years of industrial experience or MS-Chemistry or related field with 5+ years experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Works well both as a team and as an individual.
  • Demonstration of very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
