The State of Minnesota is committed to equity and inclusion, and invests in employees by providing benefits, support resources, and training and development opportunities.
The Healthy Aging Systems Planner exists to shape and guide public health strategies to improve outcomes for brain health, including Epilepsy, Dementia, and their risk factors, and other indicators for health aging in Minnesota.

In addition, this position will contribute to the Aging and Healthy Communities Unit's Epilepsy programming including working collaboratively with unit staff and external partners to identify gaps through strategic use of data and build coordinated systems that ensure Minnesotans at risk for or living with epilepsy and seizure disorders and their caregivers have equitable access to opportunities and resources to support their well-being and quality of life.
Healthy Aging: This position also provides strategic planning expertise and consultation to the Aging and Healthy Communities Unit, its partners, and healthy aging stakeholders related to age-friendly health system strategies, clinical-community linkages, and aging related social determinants of health (SDOH).
The telework policy exempts employees who live more than 50 miles from their primary work location from the 50% in-office requirement to help the State of Minnesota benefit from top talent in every corner of the state.
