Position Overview

  • We are seeking a highly motivated Immigration Paralegal to join our legal team. This position requires an individual who has an exceptional work ethic, a strong sense of responsibility, and is willing to learn and grow alongside our firm.
  • Our ideal candidate has an associate’s or bachelor’s degree, has 2-3 years of paralegal experience, and, preferably, a paralegal’s certificate. They are detail-oriented, a quick learner, and possess great oral and written communication skills. They take pride in the work they do and hold themself to a high, professional standard.
  • This individual should have a strong understanding of the U.S. legal system and, preferably, solid understanding of immigration laws and procedures. Candidates must have appreciation for different cultures and a passion for helping individuals navigate the complex immigration process .

Job Type

  • In-Person, with potential remote working available down the line
  • Full-Time
  • Schedule: 40 hours/week from 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Ability to commute to Westminster, CO 80021

Responsibilities

As a paralegal at our law firm, you will play a vital role in supporting attorneys and guiding clients through complex legal processes. Your primary responsibilities will include a mix of client interactions, case preparation, and administrative support to ensure efficient and effective case management.

Primary Duties:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing immigration forms and supporting documents for submission of immigration applications and petitions to government agencies.
  • Conduct case management by coordinating information and document gathering.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and case management databases.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling clients’ meetings, answering phone calls, copying documents, preparing applications for mailing, etc.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to legal assistants.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and uphold the attorney-client privilege.
  • If bilingual, potentially assist with document translation and interpretation during consultations and client meetings.
  • Draft cover letters and correspondence related to immigration cases.
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients, representing the firm with professionalism and courtesy in person, by phone, and in written communications.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and attorneys, effectively relaying information, facilitating communication, and providing clients with regular case updates.

Qualifications

  • An Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree is required .
  • At least 2 years of experience as an immigration paralegal or 3–4 years of general paralegal experience
  • Paralegal certificate is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Spanish or another foreign language is strongly preferred, but not required
