*General Description/Primary Purpose:*
The University of North Florida School of Music (College of Arts & Sciences) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure faculty position in Music Technology and Production, at the rank of Instructor. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses within the B.M. Music Technology and Production degree. Duties beyond course instruction will include Music Technology Lab and Recording Studio management and oversight, organization of School of Music archival concert recordings through coursework, grant writing for musical equipment funding, and working with Information Technology Services on music software compliance and maintenance. The successful applicant will also engage in recruitment and retention by participating in School of Music Auditions and Music Technology advising.
*Anticipated Start Date:* The position is expected to begin on August 3, 2026.
*Working Hours:* Varies
*Supervision Exercised:* This is not a supervisory role
*Teaching Load:* The equivalent of four 3-credit courses each Fall and Spring.
*Courses Taught:* May include Audio and Acoustics, Audio for Media Applications, Digital Audio Production, Electronic Music Production Techniques, Intro to Sound Reinforcement, Introduction to Digital Audio, Internship in Music Technology, Music Studio Recording Techniques, Music Technology Practicum, Seminar in Music Technology, Sound Reinforcement and Music Production, electives in the candidate's area of expertise.
*Required Qualifications:*
At a minimum, applicants must have earned a master's degree in music technology or equivalent, or master's degree in music with evidence of experience and expertise in Music Technology and Production at the time of appointment.
*Preferred Qualifications / Skills: *
It is preferred that candidates have a doctorate in music with significant advanced training in Music Technology and Production and college teaching experience.
