Insurance Coverage Contract Attorney

An internationally recognized insurance coverage and claims practice is seeking a Contract Attorney with 3 5 years of significant insurance coverage experience to join its Houston office. This role offers hands-on involvement in sophisticated insurance coverage matters across multiple lines of coverage, working closely with experienced attorneys on high-stakes disputes for insurance industry clients nationwide.

The position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys deep analytical work, complex legal writing, and active participation in litigation, while gaining exposure to a broad range of coverage and bad faith matters.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze complex insurance coverage issues across first-party and third-party claims
• Prepare detailed insurance coverage opinions
• Litigate coverage and bad faith matters involving multiple lines of insurance
• Draft, argue, and respond to dispositive and discovery-related motions
• Take and defend depositions and attend court conferences
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client advisory work

Qualifications:

• 3 5 years of meaningful insurance coverage experience
• Strong background in coverage analysis and opinion writing
• Litigation experience, including motion practice and court appearances
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated academic achievement
• Deposition and trial experience preferred, but not required
• Active Texas Bar license required
