Job Description

We are now hiring for Journeyman Electricians for a jobsite in Austin, TX. These positions are starting ASAP! Please submit your resume to this posting and call our office at 830-629-2525.

Pay: $36-$40/hr DOE

Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm (Possible OT).

Journeyman Electrician. Must have experience doing conduit installation. Must have own tools & PPE.

Job Summary: As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a commercial setting. You will work independently and alongside apprentices, ensuring all work is completed in compliance with local codes and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.
  • Diagnose electrical issues and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Ensure all work adheres to local electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on job sites.
  • Train and mentor apprentices in electrical practices and safety protocols.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Respond to emergency electrical service calls as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
  • Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the electrical trade.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficient in the use of electrical tools and testing equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
  • Work in varying weather conditions and environments.
