Job Title: Remote Loan Underwriter
Hourly Pay: $29 - $35/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate loan applications to assess applicants’ creditworthiness
• Analyze financial documents, credit reports, and other supporting information to determine risk
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory standards

• Approve or deny loan applications based on established criteria

• Communicate with loan officers and applicants to request or clarify information as needed

• Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing underwriting decisions

• Contribute to the enhancement of underwriting processes and best practices

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Loan Underwriter or in a similar financial services role
• Strong understanding of loan underwriting procedures, credit analysis, and risk evaluation
• Knowledge of mortgage, personal, or commercial loan products and compliance requirements

• Proficiency with underwriting systems and software

• Exceptional attention to detail and sound decision-making skills

• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting

• Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace
