Maintenance Electrician
Position Summary:
The
Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and controls on production and facility equipment. This role supports daily operations by ensuring electrical equipment functions safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, control panels, motors, sensors, and wiring.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions in production equipment.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and PLC logic (basic level).
- Support machine installations and upgrades involving electrical components.
- Maintain safe work practices and comply with electrical codes and company policies.
- Accurately complete maintenance records and CMMS logs.
- Must be able to bend and run conduit through out the plant
Safety and Compliance:
• Following company and OSHA safety procedures
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during equipment servicing
• Participating in safety audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting as an electrician or maintenance technician with electrical focus
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Solid understanding of 3-phase power systems, motors, sensors, relays, and basic PLC troubleshooting
Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory, But Nice to Have) :
- Electrical license (state-issued or journeyman-level – preferred but not required)
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training or equivalent
