Maintenance Manager

(Exempt)

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our manufacturing facility. At Ethos Pet Brands Brownwood facility, we manufacture premium pet food in a heavily automated environment. Processes include silo ingredient storage and dispensing, pneumatic conveyance, grain milling, product extrusion, drying, coating, and packaging. The successful candidate will have some understanding of these processes, and the ability to learn each system to drive improvement across the enterprise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities and duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and maintain a plan and scheduled routine to perform preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Manage, motivate, develop, and provide direct leadership to maintenance staff.
• Perform inspections of recently maintained equipment to observe the quality of the maintenance performed and the operating condition of the equipment.
• Create a work schedule for maintenance staff to include off-hours and annual shutdowns.
• Manage and maintain work order system for parts management tracking and to ensure that work order closure occurs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 to 10 years of maintenance, electrical and/or mechanical experience
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
• Training and development experience of crew members
• Excellent planning and leadership abilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Human-Machine Interface (HMI)
• Industrial Electric or PLC experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or combination of Trade School and experience
