Electrical, mechanical, PLC troubleshooting skills in an industrial or manufacturing type of environment

JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance position is responsible for keeping the machines running as efficiently as possible in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and Procedures
• Performs a variety of semiskilled duties in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, fabrication, mechanical repairs, machine lubrication, painting, or plastering
• Maintains, services, and conducts minor repairs on buildings and equipment
• Knowledge of safety procedures and safety conscious
• Steady and dependable
• Organize, coordinate, and assist in managing the overall maintenance programs including property appearance, timely work order service and cost-effective inventory control of the properties
• Assist in all service areas as needed
• Under the direction of the Maintenance – Superintendent and the production management department, the Maintenance position will obtain knowledge for equipment maintenance servicing and scheduling, vendor interaction, and other related services
• Other duties as assigned
• Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

The employee should have the following:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade
• 1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant field

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee should possess the ability to:

• Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or out
• Operate various assembly/manufacturing/repair tools
• Must be able to taste or smell
• Must be able to position self to maintain equipment including under equipment and in small spaces
• Be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
• Prolong standing or in stationary position for long periods of time
• Complete repetitive movements
• Bend or twist
• Wear all required personal protective equipment
• Lift/move/transport items up to 75 pounds
• Be in the position to move/traverse about inside site to access machinery, etc.
• Ability to operate various assembly/manufacturing/repair tools
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
• Should have strong hand-eye coordination
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth
• Sufficient physical reflexes and personal mobility
• Constantly operates machinery, positions, sets up, handles or tends to, modifies
• Work outside of normal business hours, occasionally on short notice

FUNCIONES ESENCIALES:

• Cumplir con las políticas y procedimientos de seguridad de Westlake
• Realiza una variedad de tareas semi-calificadas en las áreas de plomería, carpintería, electricidad, fabricación, reparaciones mecánicas, lubricación de máquinas, pintura o enlucido
• Mantiene, presta servicios y realiza reparaciones menores en edificios y equipos
• Conocimiento de los procedimientos de seguridad y tener una consciencia segura
• Estable y confiable
• Organizar, coordinar y asistir en la administración de los programas generales de mantenimiento, incluida la apariencia de la propiedad, el servicio oportuno de la orden de trabajo y el control de inventario rentable de las propiedades
• Asistir en todas las áreas de servicio según sea necesario
• Bajo la dirección del Supervisor de mantenimiento principal y el departamento de gestión de producción, el empleado mantenimiento II obtendrá conocimiento para el mantenimiento y la programación del mantenimiento del equipo, la interacción con el proveedor y otros servicios relacionados
• Otros deberes asignados
• Tener una asistencia regular, puntualidad y flexibilidad de horario

EDUCACIÓN Y/O EXPERIENCIA:

El empleado debe tener lo siguiente:

• Diploma de Secundaria o equivalente y entrenamiento o certificado en habilidad o oficio relevante
• 1-2 Anos de experiencia relevante

REQUISITOS FÍSICOS ESENCIALES/ENTORNO DE TRABAJO:

El empleado debe poseer la capacidad de:

• Exponerse a temperaturas extremas interiores o exteriores
• Operar varias herramientas de montaje/fabricación/reparación
• Debe poder saborear u oler
• Debe poder posicionarse para mantener el equipo, incluso debajo del equipo y en espacios pequeños
• Poder trabajar en un entorno de fabricación acelerado
• Exponerse a sonidos o niveles de ruido que pueden ser incómodos
• Permanecer de pie por mucho tiempo o en posición estacionaria
• Completar movimientos repetitivos
• Inclinarse o girar.
• Usar todo el equipo de protección personal requerido
• Levantar/mover/transportar artículos de hasta 75 libras
• Tomar posición para moverse/atravesar el interior del emplazamiento para acceder a la maquinaria, etc.
