We are seeking a Network SME Engineer to join our team. This role will involve designing, architecting, and troubleshooting complex enterprise and cloud-based network environments with a strong focus on IPv4/IPv6 and advanced routing and switching technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in large-scale network design, CCIE-level engineering, cloud networking, and enterprise infrastructure, along with a passion for solving complex connectivity challenges. The Network SME Engineer will act as a technical authority across campus, data center, and cloud networks. As a Network SME Engineer , you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient and scalable network solutions. This Network SME Engineer role requires deep hands-on expertise and strategic problem-solving skills.

Job Title: Network SME Engineer Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid On-site 3 days per week) Duration: 6 months (Contract) Job Description:

The Network SME Engineer is responsible for developing, designing, and supporting advanced network solutions across campus, data center, and cloud environments. This position focuses on complex routing and switching, IPv4/IPv6 implementations, and enterprise-scale network troubleshooting.

The role requires deep expertise in Cisco and Arista platforms, routing protocols, multicast technologies, and overlay networking. The position also supports network migrations, connectivity for IoT devices and sensors, and the implementation of secure, scalable network architectures while adhering to enterprise standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise network solutions across campus, data center, and cloud environments

• Troubleshoot complex routing and switching issues involving BGP, OSPF, and Spanning Tree

• Support IPv4 and IPv6 network architectures and migrations

• Design and troubleshoot Cisco and Arista network platforms

• Implement and support multicast technologies including IGMP and PIM

• Work with overlay technologies such as IPSEC, DMVPN, and VXLAN

• Support IP routing platforms including ISR, ASR, Catalyst, and Nexus series

• Collaborate with teams to identify communication scenarios between edge and end devices

• Execute and oversee testing for data gathering, aggregation, and analytics capabilities

• Maintain strong focus on security, performance, and network reliability

• Utilize automation tools such as Ansible when applicable

Qualifications:

• Active CCIE Lab Certification (Routing & Switching or Service Provider) mandatory

• Minimum 12 years of experience in enterprise network engineering environments

• Strong expertise in routing and switching protocols

• Hands-on experience with cloud networking and IPv6

• Knowledge of Cisco ISE, TACACS, DNS, and DHCP

• Experience supporting network connectivity for IoT devices and sensors

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
