Yamhill County has one regular, full-time position for an Office Specialist II to perform clerical duties in support of the Juvenile Probation office. Duties may include some or all of the following: reception and multi-line phone, filing, copying, data entry, document generation, file management, and other duties as assigned.
The Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required in addition to one year of clerical or secretarial work experience. Coursework and training related to the position may substitute for up to six months of experience. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work will be considered. Experience in a legal office is preferred. Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred but not required. Successful completion of a criminal history background check is required.
The Candidate
The successful candidate must have excellent customer service, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills. They must be flexible, self-directed, detail-oriented, with demonstrated abilities to with the abilities to multi-task and work effectively in a team environment, and to interact with co-workers and members of the public in a courteous, professional manner. General keyboarding and computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, are required. Applicants may be required to pass skills tests including typing, document production, and Spanish (if applicable).
