Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
Teach Public Speaking and/or Applied Communication content.
Evaluate student performances. Evaluate professional writing .
Administer Department exams. Post information to Learning Management Software (CANVAS).
Complete Assessment assignments.
Teach professional writing of outline Submit semester documents-syllabus, exams grade-books, attendance. Submit participation rosters.
Teach courses at multiple campus locations.
Please Note: Candidate must be in full-time current employment with Clark County School District (CCSD). Approval to teach a JumpStart class by CCSD principal or vice principal.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in Public Speaking.
30 credits of Communication coursework.
Master's degree in Communication Studies.
15 credits of graduate coursework in Communication OR equivalent terminal degree with experience in public speaking/ oral communication coursework.
Salary Information
$200 until July 1.
$1000 per contract after July 1,2025.
