Job Description

Express Employment Professionals Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a part time Estimating Coordinator for a Philadelphia based general contractor.

This role is responsible and involved in the calculation of material quantity requirements, gathering and preparing routine estimating data and compiling data for use in bid proposal estimates, while also being the point person for the project throughout all phases. The Project Management & Estimating Coordinator also serves as the administrative and technical management of masonry/concrete construction projects for office, institutions, healthcare, and multifamily developments, for both the public and private sectors.

ESTIMATING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare, develop and finalize project estimates from initial concept to completion.

Involve trade partners and vendors in the estimating process.

Research prior estimating data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.) and compile summary reports for future estimates

PROJECT MANAGEMENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and inputs project budgets working closely with Superintendent to review project budgets and productivity.

Participate in design progress meetings and client presentations as required.

Provide job forecasting monthly to accurately reflect project costs/invoicing until completion of the project.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 5 years' experience in estimating, design related activities, project management, or construction management

Experience with design-build, engineer/procure/construct, construction management and hard bid projects

Have a working knowledge of material unit costs, systems square foot costs and total building square foot costs

Experience with Procore software elements and other estimating systems and competent in the use of recognized electronic spreadsheets, and word processing to ensure proper job outcomes.

Proficient using computer applications, specifically Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Project, Procore, Sage, or On-center take off software and/or Bluebeam.
