Job Description

Sales & Events Manager About Tumbling River Ranch Since 1946, Tumbling River Ranch has been a haven for adventure, connection, and storytelling. Nestled at 9,200 feet in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, the ranch has long provided guests with unforgettable experiences—from horseback riding and fly fishing to fireside gatherings with loved ones. Following a $7+ million renovation, Tumbling River Ranch will reopen in summer 2025 with refreshed cabins, grounds, and a main lodge designed for both comfort and heritage. With year-round operations, new seasonal experiences will further connect guests to the rhythm of the mountains. Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Sales & Events Manager to lead our guest acquisition and group event strategy. Based in Denver with regular travel to the ranch, this role is ideal for someone who blends warm hospitality instincts with strong sales acumen and a passion for storytelling. The Sales & Events Manager will lead outbound sales efforts, nurture key partnerships, and curate unforgettable private and group experiences—from weddings and retreats to family reunions and seasonal celebrations. This is a unique opportunity to shape the guest journey from first contact to their final toast beneath the stars. If you thrive in high-touch environments, love the mountains, and have a proven record of converting interest into long-term relationships, we’d love to meet you. Key Responsibilities Sales & Guest Acquisition

  • Drive outbound sales strategy for both individual stays and group bookings.
  • Convert inbound inquiries into bookings through timely, personalized communication.
  • Represent the ranch in Denver-based marketing, sales, and community events.
  • Maintain CRM systems and manage lead pipelines effectively.
  • Build relationships with travel agents, corporate retreat planners, and destination wedding coordinators.
Event Planning & Execution
  • Serve as the primary planner and liaison for on-property events, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
  • Collaborate with ranch operations and hospitality teams to execute event logistics.
  • Travel to the ranch as needed for site tours, walk-throughs, and on-site event coordination.
  • Maintain detailed timelines and planning documents for all group stays and special events.
Brand & Community Partnerships
  • Identify and nurture partnerships that align with the ranch’s mission and guest experience goals.
  • Work closely with the General Manager on campaigns that drive inquiries and brand awareness.
  • Act as a brand ambassador across Colorado, sharing the spirit of Tumbling River Ranch through relationship-driven outreach.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospitality sales, events, or guest services (luxury/lifestyle preferred).
  • Proven track record of converting sales leads into bookings.
  • Strong understanding of event planning, from initial consultation through execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter who thrives in both remote work and in-person collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to Tumbling River Ranch for client tours and on-site events (only a one hour drive from Denver)
  • A love for the outdoors, storytelling, and creating meaningful guest experiences.
Employment Requirements
  • Fluent in English.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Based in the Denver area, with flexibility to travel to the ranch as needed (1–3x/month on average, more during peak seasons).
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $65,000–$75,000 base salary, plus quarterly performance bonuses tied to sales goals.
  • Benefits: Healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision), 401(k) retirement plan
