Job Description

• Hold at minimum a masters degree in school counseling/counseling/clinical psychology or a related area or related field (social work, or clinical counseling). 
• Current licensed mental health professional (LPC, psychologist, or social worker). 
• Meet the state certification/licensure standards. 
• Fulfill continuing education requirements. 
• Uphold ASCA ethical and professional standards. 
• 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in a private school setting. 
• Knowledge of child development (social, emotional, cognitive, physical) in children ranging from six months old to eighth grade. 
• Familiarity with current best practices in meeting the social and emotional needs of children age six months to eighth grade. 
• Ability to communicate and advocate effectively. 
• Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality of sensitive information. 
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and organizational skills. 
• Must possess a calm and caring demeanor with a deep optimism about children. 
• Ability to work effectively and calmly in high stress situations.
• Knowledge of community resources related to emotional wellness.
