Job Overview

Value Driven Solutions (VDS) () is seeking a Senior Associate, Strategy/Private Equity to join our team as a remote contractor, delivering high-impact strategy and performance improvement services to private equity firms and their portfolio companies. Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and performance improvement projects for private equity clients, managing all aspects from scoping, budgeting, and resource allocation to creating deliverables and presenting results.
• Develop client value propositions that link strategic, financial, and operational metrics to tangible business improvements, tailored to both PE firms and their portfolio companies.
• Serve as the day-to-day project manager, ensuring effective problem formulation, thorough analysis, and actionable resolutions for complex challenges.
• Design and implement strategic roadmaps, conduct key interviews, perform research, and facilitate client workshops to drive decision-making and execution.
• Collaborate closely with VDS leadership and client stakeholders to strengthen relationships, with a focus on private equity firms and their investment portfolios.
• Mentor junior team members, contribute to their professional growth, and support recruiting and training efforts as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of recent, client-facing consulting experience in a strategy discipline at a major strategy firm, boutique consultancy, or Big 4 firm, with a strong emphasis on private equity.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
• Skills:
  • Proven ability to address strategic issues in areas like value creation, growth strategy, operating model design, profitability improvement, or business model transformation, with experience leading consulting teams.
  • Excellent foundational consulting skills, including interpersonal and presentation abilities, deep strategic business acumen, and advanced analytical/problem-solving capabilities.
  • Understanding of how business model decisions influence operating model execution across operations, technology, and organizational design.
• Industry Exposure: Experience in one or more key sectors (e.g., Industrial Markets, Consumer/Retail, Technology) is a plus; cross-industry background preferred.
• Travel: Willingness and ability to travel as needed for client engagements (travel requirements vary by project).
• Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Professional Attributes: Ability to adhere to VDS policies, exercise sound judgment, manage stress effectively, work collaboratively, and uphold trustworthiness to safeguard client and company reputation.
