The Opportunity:

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial analysis to the organization; responsible for financial activities such as business analysis and planning, forecasting, and budgeting. This is a Hybrid position (3 days/week in office) based out of our Toledo, Ann Arbor, Birmingham, Cleveland or Columbus office. 

 

 

In This Role You Will Execute On:

  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts; prepare financial performance reports for regular leadership reviews.
  • Support the forecasting and analysis of Revenue, Sales Compensation and Selling Expense P&L line items.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal requirements.
  • Conduct Revenue Analysis including regional, product line and client performance.
  • Complete Producer Performance Analysis including compensation, Diamond Club and EPP qualification status.
  • Handle Carrier Contract Analysis which includes reviewing contracts with our carriers and determining the financial impacts of these agreements.
  • Responsible for New and Lost Business Reporting including plan variance and performance drivers
  • Understand broker commission agreements and analyze impacts
  • Lead Annual Best Practices Study
  • Assist with the periodic review of T&E spend and report creation.
  • Assist with the annual revenue plan and periodic forecasting updates of revenue, sales compensation and selling expense.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested.

 

In This Role You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required, Master’s Degree in Business or Finance preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related financial systems.
  • Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.
  • Working knowledge of financial strategies.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
