Small Business Lending Platform Development Officer Location Dallas, TX :

The Small Business Lending Platform Development Officer is responsible for marketing a full range of banking services to Small Business Loan Platform eligible clients while also serving as the subject matter expert regarding the Small Business Lending Platform. Will partner with relationship managers to identify new and existing clients eligible under the Bank's Small Business Lending program and will support both the client and relationship manager through the life cycle of the loan with an emphasis on client contact/support, origination, and ongoing portfolio analysis.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business related field required. Strong preference for Finance or Accounting major or concentration.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial and small business lending required.
  • Strong preference for previous experience in SBA lending and associated knowledge of SBA regulations, closing procedures, and flood regulations .
  • Ability to interface effectively and professionally with senior/executive level management, relationship managers, and clients.
  • Ability to work after Bank operating hours and/or on the weekend.
  • Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office products as well as custom applications and systems.
  • Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the state
  • Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of customers, clients, and Bank personnel.
  • Proficient in the communication of technical information both verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Identifies new and existing clients that qualify under the Bank's Small Business Lending program; engages with clients and relationship managers to provide effective solutions that meet customer needs within the scope of the Bank's Small Business Lending program guidelines.
  • Interviews prospective applicants and requests documentation that supports the loan application. Performs pre-qualification assessment of loan applications, financial statements, and supporting documents to determine if loan meets Small Business Lending program guidelines.
  • Coordinates with applicant/client and relationship managers to resolve any questions or deficiencies related to loan application and supporting documentation. Assists the customer with any needs throughout the loan application process.
  • Communicates approval/rejection decisions to applicants either independently or in partnership with relationship manager.
  • Partners with relationship managers to monitor and service a portfolio of Small Business Lending program loans.
  • Maximizes department and Bank profitability through cross-selling products and services. Works closely Small Business Lending program leadership and operations team to ensure any servicing issues or non-performing loans are reported.
  • Promotes the Bank's SBA Small Business Lending program and secures new business through effective partnerships and networking opportunities. Participates in internal and off-site events (i.e. community functions, charity events, golf tournaments, etc.) to cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Maintains a broad understanding of the Bank's lending strategy as well as an awareness of the financial industry, economy, market conditions, rates, vendors and competition.
  • Maintains expert knowledge of the Bank's Small Business Lending Platform and provides direct support by generating reports for use by lending and senior management.
  • Actively participates in and completes all assigned training and development sessions/initiatives.
  • Ongoing communication in person and virtually with regional markets across the state.
  • Travel throughout the state to promote Small Business Lending within Bank regions.
  • Other duties as required.
