Job Title: SQL Server Database Administrator (US Citizens Only)

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and manage SQL Server database instances.
• Monitor database performance, implement performance tuning, and optimize query execution.
• Perform database backups and recovery to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Monitor database health and proactively address performance and capacity issues.
• Apply patches and upgrades to maintain database security and compatibility.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide resolutions in a timely manner.
• Implement and maintain database security measures, including access control and encryption.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
• Design and implement database schemas, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient database design and data access patterns.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine database tasks.
• Set up and configure database monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Develop and test disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Participate in business continuity planning to ensure database availability.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of database environments, configurations, and procedures.
• Generate regular reports on database performance, security, and usage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA (3+ years preferred).
• Expertise in SQL Server versions 2016 and later.
• Proficient in T-SQL scripting and performance tuning.
• Strong knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR).
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
• Experience with database monitoring and optimization tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Redgate, or native SQL tools).
• Understanding of Windows Server environments and Active Directory integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Federal Experience is a plus.
