Job Title: SQL Server Database Administrator(US Citizens Only)

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances across development, test, and production environments.
• Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions.
• Perform regular database backups, restores, and disaster recovery operations.
• Monitor database health, optimize performance, and troubleshoot issues.
• Design, implement, and maintain database schemas, tables, and indexes to improve query performance.
• Optimize database queries and stored procedures for performance and efficiency.
• Implement database security and encryption mechanisms to ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational policies.
• Monitor and manage user access, permissions, and roles.
• Provide support for database-related incidents, issues, and outages.
• Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders to resolve database-related problems.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks and monitoring database systems.
• Implement database monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address issues.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Work closely with application teams to understand database requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA, with expertise in SQL Server
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization techniques.
• Experience with high-availability solutions (e.g., Always On Availability Groups, clustering, replication).
• Proficient in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Experience in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Profiler, and other database tools.
• Hands-on experience with database monitoring tools such as SolarWinds DPA or Redgate.
• Understanding of indexing, partitioning, and data archiving strategies.
• Federal Experience is a plus.
