Job Description

JOB TITLE : Van Driver (2)
DEPARTMENT : Career Services
FLSA : Part-time; Hourly/Non-Exempt
DURATION : OPEN UNTIL FILLED
 
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Van Driver is responsible for providing transportation and supportive services to all assigned clients and maintains the upkeep of assigned vehicles.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain a safe environment at all times while vehicle is in operation.
  • Drive van to designated areas as assigned.
  • Ensure van is parked safely and secured at all times.
  • Keep van in good operating condition at all times.
  • Assist passengers as needed.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of 2 years driving experience required.
  • Valid North Carolina A, B, or C license with clean driving record (no more than 2 violations in the previous 18 months). Any violation is subject to individual review and subject to termination or disqualification to drive on behalf of the organization.
  • Continuing compliance with North Carolina vehicle and traffic law including medical, vision, and hearing tests required per North Carolina regulations.
  • Knowledge of local roadways and directions.
 
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
 
HIRING RANGE : $15 to $17/hour
 
HOURS: 15-25 per week
