NAC International, a global provider supporting the carbon-free nuclear industry in successfully implementing environmentally friendly integrated fuel cycle and waste management solutions, is searching for an experienced and dynamic Vice President, U.S. Government Sales to lead our business development efforts within the U.S. government sectors.

About the Position

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), this role will develop and execute our government sales strategies, with a strong focus on delivering value to our clients, fostering long-term relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. The Vice President, U.S. Government Sales will be instrumental in driving NAC’s government success by expanding market share for its products and services while developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the industry to position the company for sustained, long-term growth. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive government sales strategy to expand NAC’s presence within the U.S. government markets.
  • Create annual sales targets and booking objectives across all Business Units, integrating when possible, and in support of the Company’s business plan.
  • Cultivate and manage high-level relationships with current and prospective customers, ensuring NAC is positioned as their preferred partner for their waste management needs
  • Lead negotiations of customer contracts, including pricing and terms and conditions, as well as ensuring agreements align with business objectives while also meeting federal acquisition regulations (FAR), other relevant government policies, and internal standards.
  • Identify new government business opportunities and drive business development initiatives aligned with NAC’s strategic goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including Legal, Finance & Accounting, Engineering, and Project Management, to ensure successful project delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting on sales performance and market opportunities to the CCO and senior leadership.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes in the government sector to inform sales strategies.
  • Represent NAC at key industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the company’s brand and strengthen market presence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in government sales or business development, with a proven track record of securing contracts in the government, nuclear, energy, or related industries.
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage complex sales cycles.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a history of successful engagement with high-level government officials and contractors.
  • Experience working with DOE, NRC, DOD, or similar government entities is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a strategic role while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for multiple night trips, approximately 50% of the year.
