Clinical appointments are made upon the recommendation of the department faculty where appropriate to an academic program. The clinical appointment is non-tenure track. A prefix such as “clinical”, or suffix such as “of Practice”, or other appropriate prefix or suffix, will be designated for these appointments, full-time or part-time (Faculty Handbook 7.1.4). Part time is determined by the unit based on a comparison to year-long appointments. Time of service on a part-time appointment may not accrue to time for appointment with tenure (Faculty Handbook 7.1.6).
