**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Welder with expertise in MIG and TIG welding to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fitting, with a strong emphasis on precision and quality. This role requires proficiency in welding carbon steel and stainless steel, as well as the ability to pass a MIG/TIG weld test. **Responsibilities** + Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel. + Ensure all welds meet the required specifications and standards. + Read and interpret blueprints to understand job specifications. + Demonstrate strong fitting skills to ensure precision in welding tasks. + Perform fabrication and assembly of aluminum structures. + Maintain a clean and organized work area. + Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals. **Essential Skills** + Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding. + Strong fitting skills (not to be confused with pipe fitting). + Ability to pass a MIG/TIG weld test on carbon steel and stainless steel. + Attention to detail and commitment to quality. + Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Understanding of AWS Specs. + Familiarity with D1.1 and D1.4 standards. + Welding certifications are highly desirable. + Must have own welding hood and gloves. **Why Work Here?** Join a company with a great culture that is locally owned and operated in the aerospace industry. Employees are expected to dress appropriately for welding tasks, including wearing their own welding hood and gloves. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hartselle, Alabama. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
