  • Oversee Wednesday night lessons, Sunday gatherings, and outreach events, encouraging students to grow, serve, and engage with the community.
  • Recruit, train and mentor youth leaders and volunteers, empowering them to disciple students and lead ministry initiatives.
  • Foster an evangelistic focus in the lives of teens, encouraging them to be salt and light in the homes, schools, activities, and workplaces by reflecting Jesus in their actions, words, and relationships.

Develop and implement programs and activities that challenge teens and preteens to deepen the understanding of Scripture and foster a closer relationship with Christ.
  • Actively pray for and with students, families, and volunteers, creating a culture of spiritual support and intercession.

Children and Family Ministry Leadership

  • Provide pastoral oversight and leadership for the Children’s Director and Children’s Ministry, ensuring alignment with the church’s mission and vision.
  • Collaborate with the Children’s Director to create and implement strategies that nurture spiritual growth in children and provide resources to parents for discipleship at home.
  • Foster unity and cohesiveness between ministries serving children from newborn through youth by developing a strong vision and strategy for spiritual development.
  • Equip parents and caregivers to be the primary spiritual leaders in the parent's homes by providing guidance, training, and resources to help the parents raise the children in God-honoring ways.
  • Cultivate a partnership with families to nurture faith development and create a seamless transition between different age-focused ministries.

General Pastoral Responsibilities

  • Assist with preaching and teaching as part of the pastoral team, occasionally filling the pulpit as needed.
  • Work closely with the Lead Pastor and other staff to integrate the vision of family discipleship across all age groups.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall leadership and direction of the church.

  • Three to five years of full-time ministry experience, preferably leading youth ministry.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach biblical truths effectively and foster spiritual growth in teens.
  • A clear understanding of youth culture and the challenges teens face, with a compassionate desire to walk alongside them in the teen's faith journey.
