Amazon continues to invent with AI to build world-class products, services and experiences across every part of its business. We are seeking a high-judgment communications professional to join our team. As Senior PR Manager, you’ll develop and execute communications programs for Amazon’s AGI organization; the team recently launched a new generation of state-of-the-art foundation models– Amazon Nova. In this role, you’ll establish strategic narratives for proactive storytelling, and manage a team across executive communications, internal communications, media relations, and social and influencer communications. You’ll also serve as a key advisor to Amazon’s senior AGI leaders in making strategic communications and business decisions, often in very short timeframes.

This is your role if you feel comfortable diving deep, you are highly inquisitive, and motivated by a dynamic, fast-paced culture where we are establishing best practices and taking smart risks. You will also have a deep understanding of generative AI topics and trends, be eager to cultivate fresh story ideas, possess excellent writing skills, and be adept at translating complex technology concepts into broadly digestible stories.

The ideal candidate will be able to earn trust and establish strong rapport with senior business leaders, scientists, and communications colleagues across Amazon and AWS. The candidate will also have experience building programs; working across diverse businesses and teams; have a strong understanding of how to leverage earned, owned, paid and social media to scale impact; and have experience working to high standards. Being flexible in managing ambiguity as priorities change, and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with detailed execution will be essential.

About the team
This role is part of the cross-company AI Communications team within Amazon’s Communications & Corporate Responsibility (CCR) team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
