Business Data Analyst I (HR) Location Saint Petersburg, FL (Carillon area) : Overview: General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, a premier provider of ordnance weapons and tactical systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, has an opening for a Business Data Analyst (HR), to join our St. Petersburg Team. We are looking for a motivated and creative leader to help shape and support our mission. Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to identify trends and make recommendations. Prepare reports and visualizations on key metrics and HR operations. Work with HR professionals, management, and other departments to support data-driven decision-making. Proficient in data analysis tools and HRIS. Major Position Responsibilities:
- Provides management and analysis of business data for use in data-driven decision making and organizational efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Uses statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis to develop and deploy tools including dashboards, infographics, reports, and models to inform and support decision-making.
- Aggregates and performs statistical analysis on business data based on requests from project teams or senior leadership.
- Integrates data from multiple data sources or functional areas, ensures data accuracy and integrity, and updates data as needed.
- Writes queries or reports to provide data for various analytical projects.
- Mines, processes, and analyzes internal and external data using KPIs, business results, industry sources, competitor intelligence, and customer information.
- Interprets data to identify business trends, conduct root cause analysis of business problems, or suggest areas for process improvement.
- Develops a good understanding of the business's model, objectives, issues, and challenges by interacting and collaborating with users and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications: Education and/or Experience - Associate's Degree and 0-3 years prior experience relevant to the positions functional area
- OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education and Experience

Physical Demands - Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
