**Overview**: We are seeking a skilled Podcast SEO Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience optimizing podcasts for search engines and growing podcast visibility through effective SEO strategies. This role will focus on increasing organic traffic, improving podcast discoverability, and boosting audience engagement across all podcast platforms.

**Key Responsibilities**:

1. **Podcast Optimization**:

* Implement SEO strategies to optimize podcast episodes for search engines (Google, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.).
* Research relevant keywords for each podcast episode, focusing on long-tail keywords and trending topics in the podcast industry.
* Optimize podcast titles, descriptions, show notes, and metadata (e.g., episode tags) for maximum searchability.

1. **Content Strategy**:

* Collaborate with content creators and podcast hosts to develop compelling content that resonates with target audiences.
* Ensure that SEO best practices are followed in episode titles, episode descriptions, and other podcast-related content.
* Assist in structuring show notes and creating transcripts for episodes to enhance discoverability.

1. **Podcast Analytics & Reporting**:

* Monitor podcast performance using analytics tools like Google Analytics, Apple Podcasts Analytics, and other podcast-specific metrics.
* Generate regular performance reports to track podcast growth, keyword rankings, listener engagement, and overall SEO effectiveness.
* Adjust strategies based on performance data to continually improve SEO outcomes.

1. **Competitor Research**:

* Analyze competing podcasts to identify successful SEO strategies and opportunities.
* Stay up to date with trends and changes in podcasting platforms, SEO algorithms, and best practices to ensure the podcast remains competitive.

1. **Link Building & Audience Engagement**:

* Develop and execute link-building strategies to improve podcast rankings and domain authority.
* Build relationships with other podcasters, influencers, and media outlets to promote cross-promotion and increase backlinks.
* Encourage listener reviews, ratings, and social sharing to improve podcast visibility and engagement.

1. **Technical SEO for Podcasts**:

* Ensure proper implementation of structured data (schema markup) for podcasts to improve visibility in search engine results.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to podcast SEO, such as podcast feed optimization, crawlability, and indexing problems.

1. **SEO Training & Best Practices**:

* Educate podcast creators, hosts, and other stakeholders on SEO best practices.
* Stay current with the latest SEO trends, tools, and strategies, particularly in the podcasting space.

**Qualifications**:

* Proven experience in podcast SEO or digital marketing with a focus on content optimization.
* Familiarity with podcast platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, etc.) and their ranking algorithms.
* Strong understanding of SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz) and podcast analytics tools.
* Knowledge of content management systems (WordPress, Libsyn, Buzzsprout, Podbean, etc.).
* Excellent communication and writing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to analyze data and apply insights to drive SEO strategy and growth.
* Passion for podcasts and staying up to date with the latest trends in the podcasting industry.
