School Nurse (LPN) needed in Seattle, WA! Enjoy the flexibility of working with an agency at a local school which allows you to have a recruiter that always has your back and advocates for you while you get to do what you love!

Contract Details:

• Location(s): Seattle, WA.
• Contract through the 2024/2025 Extended School Year (ESY).
• Contract follows the academic district calendar - 27 hours per week.

Salary:

• $35-$45/hr.

Qualifications:

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing or a baccalaureate degree in an allied field.
• Washington LPN license.
• Current standard first aid card and CPR card.
• Preference will be given to those with community health and/or school nurse experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students and staff members as needed.
• Work directly with the family of any students in need of 1:1 nursing care to administer personal medical care, including transportation, and any school medications.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health concerns and provide appropriate interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic illnesses or special health needs.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.
• Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics, including illness prevention, nutrition, and hygiene.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address health concerns and promote a healthy school environment.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and serve as a resource for school health policies and procedures.
• Stay up to date on current nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines related to school health services.
